Quality and Service award presented to top Interflora florist

November 4th, 2011

Florists in Edinburgh are celebrating after The White Petal Company became only the fifth UK florist to be awarded the Quality and Service Award from the Guild of Master Craftsmen.

In recognition of their dedication to excellent customer service, the company received the award based on customer recommendations collected by the Guild. This represents the first time the award has been presented to a Scottish florist.

The While Petal Company’s owner, George Sirrell, expressed his excitement at receiving the award: “It was a great surprise to receive a telephone call from The Guild of Master Craftsmen’s Chief Assessor of Scotland.

“The nomination to the Guild was for the quality and service that we have been providing over the years and this was made even more special as we had been nominated by our customers, which we were unaware of.

The White Petal Company, which is a certified Interflora florist, is now a deserved member of the Guild and joins an impressive list of prestigious companies from around the UK.

“We are very proud to now belong to an organisation that includes companies such as Harrods, Rolls Royce and Jenners amongst its members.”

The Guild prides itself on recognising companies that “care about their customers and the service they receive” by presenting these awards. Throughout the year, it champions some of the most skilled craftsmen in the country and hosts shows and exhibitions in international venues like the Birmingham NEC.

The White Petal Company is based near the New Town area of Edinburgh and serves flower fans all over the region. It is also in the process of launching a brand new autumn collection for 2011, something that flower fans all over Scotland will be dying to get their hands on.

While they celebrate in Edinburgh, florists in Glasgow will be keen to get their hands on a similar award in a bit of friendly floral rivalry. The best flowers Kilmarnock and Inverness have to offer, too, will be equally deserving of such an award, but it is Edinburgh that is revelling in this year’s success.
